Whereas workers rights are human rights,

whereas workers and employees are partners in producing the profit,

whereas income inequality is a result of unfair wages,

whereas corporations and businesses hold the upper economic power,

whereas workers and employees quality of life depends on a fair and healthy work environment,

whereas corporations board’s decisions impact their workers’ lives.

Resolved,

1- Modify small businesses standards to exclude businesses that have more than 100 employees and define businesses that have a number of employees of (101- 999) as medium-size businesses.

2- Establish fair wages standards, to establish a ratio between the lowest-paid employee, the highest-paid position and the total amount of earned profit the goes to the stockholders. A suggested ratio should look like 1:50:1000.

3. Adjust minimum wages annually to reflect the changes in real estate, living expenses and inflation.

4- Require large businesses to provide, permit and support the establishment of unions.

5- Require small and medium-sized businesses to permit and support the establishment of sectoral and regional unions.

6- Require large businesses to designate a seat at their board of directors for union’s delegate.

7- Enforce, adopt and support the ILO Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98).

8- Adopt, enforce and support the ILO Discrimination (Employment and Occupation) Convention, 1958 (No. 111) 

9- Reaffirm the prohibition of discrimination based on homelessness and financial status.

10- Require the DMV to issue ID to our homeless brothers and sisters regardless of housing status.

11- Establish special tax breaks for workers owned businesses.
